About the Author

Passing it down to the next generation.

I am one of seven brothers and one sister. I grew up in a Shark Tank. Raised by a father born of the 30’s I know what it is to be a man.

My childhood was spent tromping around the countryside, helping with chores, and getting a lesson in discipline that makes Boot camp look like a Caribbean vacation.

I spent a lot of time watching my brothers grow, date, and get into trouble. My goal was to be better than all of them. So I took my time to observe everything and decide what would work best for me.

Now, at 30 there is a certain aspect of life that I have a lot of questions about and I am short on time for answers. I have children who will be looking to me for guidance in this evolved culture where someone of my tradition doesn’t seem to fit in.

I have recently discovered the self empowerment of balancing my inner masculine and feminine energy. But like many, I need time and practical experience to discover how that works in today’s society. I want to know how that will effect my romantic relationships, my relationship with my children, and my relationship with friends. How will it effect my outlook on life?

I am an ENTJ personality, but truth be told, the personality reads like a “typical male”. A few famous ENTJ’s are Hannibal, Napoleon, and Bill Gates. Philosophically the most interesting and well known fictional ENTJ is Darth Vader. While these ENTJ’s have been known for being incredibly intelligent and brilliant tacticians, it is painfully obvious that they are all wildly out of balance with their feminine energy. As a result there is a more nurturing peaceful side of life that they have a reputation for missing out on. I think it is that aspect of life that is the key to redefining what it means to be a man, a father, and a romantic partner in today’s social climate.

What is your personality? Take the test.

Here is a clip of an interview with Joseph Campbell (a terrific scholar on Mythology and how it relates to us) that explains, what I like to refer to as, the Vader Syndrome.
